Almaviva and Franchetti join forces for safety, innovation and infrastructure sustainability
Rome, October 13, 2025
Agreement sets out a new approach to infrastructure management and maintenance in Italy and globally, with a particular focus on Brazil
The partnership supplements the high-tech range of solutions serving communities: infrastructure monitoring platforms, predictive maintenance systems and algorithms and advanced tools to support real-time inspections and diagnostics
Almaviva and Franchetti announce the signing of a partnership which changes the approach to infrastructure management and maintenance - both in Italy and globally - with a particular focus on Brazil and the U.S., in which both companies already operate through established businesses, and particularly in terms of public transportation infrastructure.
In an environment in which safety, digitization and operational efficiency have become critical factors, Almaviva and Franchetti's expertise is a concrete and innovative response to the challenges brought about by the technological evolution in the transportation, logistics and construction sectors. Almaviva and Franchetti lay the foundations through this agreement for a long-term collaboration, with the goal of becoming a benchmark for the infrastructure of the future, introducing solutions capable of anticipating the needs of operators, public sector entities and major works.
Almaviva, the parent company of the Almaviva Group, is an Italian Information Technology market leader also in the transport and logistics sector, with an innovative and complete offer of products, solutions and services. It has developed the MOOVA Platform, an advanced technology ecosystem designed to connect differing modes of transportation into a single framework integrated with existing infrastructure. The Platform offers solutions to centralize and govern "core" transportation processes, including the diagnostics and monitoring of infrastructure works.
Franchetti, a leading international engineering enterprise for the analysis, diagnosis and predictive maintenance of complex infrastructure, such as bridges, viaducts and road and rail networks, has created the Digiroads Platform that integrates the design, management and maintenance of infrastructure and works, improving their operational efficiency and ensuring their sustainability over time.
The partnership supports a scalable and high-tech integrated offer to serve communities, covering: engineering services (structural assessment, design of monitoring plant, planning of interventions), platforms for infrastructure monitoring, systems and algorithms for predictive maintenance, and advanced tools to support real-time inspections and diagnostics.
These solutions particularly focus on the transportation infrastructure, logistics and building & construction sectors, with the goal of supporting the transition to smart, safe and durable infrastructure.
"The synergy between Almaviva and Franchetti's expertise can make a difference in an ever-changing sector" stated Smeraldo Fiorentini, Deputy CEO of Almaviva's Transportation & Logistics Division. "We seek to offer the market a concrete proposal, centered on safety, innovation and sustainability, capable of generating value for regions and communities”.
“This agreement between Franchetti and Almaviva finds a concrete synthesis in the complementary nature of the two platforms - Franchetti's Digiroads and Almaviva's Moova" underscored Paolo Franchetti, Chairman and CEO of Franchetti S.p.A. "This will enable us to offer users and operators not only updated data in real-time, but also reliable forecasts and predictive analytics that will support a more informed and efficient management of the infrastructures, thus contributing to improved safety and continuity of services over the long term”.
